Thomas Newman
Based in California and working with organizations nationwide, Tom Newman is the founder of Social Bridge Consulting. For more than 15 years, he has helped governments, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations turn big ambitions into real change for the communities they serve.
Tom spent eight years leading operations in youth programs, social services, and economic regeneration, work that kept him close to the people and places services are meant to reach. He then spent seven years leading transformation programs alongside Directors, City Administrators, and senior leadership teams, in services families rely on every day.
He has led multi-million-dollar improvement programs, redesigned how organizations of more than 1,000 staff work, and built partnerships across government, nonprofit, and business. His focus stays the same throughout: stronger organizations, better outcomes, and lasting benefit for the people on the other end.
Tom holds an Executive MBA in Strategy Implementation and is an alumnus of the MIT Sloan School of Management. He pairs proven management methods with hands-on experience to help leaders work through complexity, build their teams' capability, and create change that lasts.
